i have TWENTY SEVEN drawings of floor plans, one constellation mapping and one A3 cardboard model due on monday.
so basically i have lesser thatn four days to execute that.

well, its already the second week of this second semester,
i should oh well stop dwelling about results already.
but because school started and all the rumours going around about who-who being the top scorer last semester,
it got me really panicky about this semester.
and im so so so determined to improve my cap this semester,
considering that the mods that im taking this semester are quite technical [except genes] and i think i should be able to perform better.
not that im finding excuse about doing history and physics last semester again,
but those two were really really my taboo subjects.
and so,
there was this whole hype, when school just started, about dragon being top cos he has like 4.83.
it was really a woah, cos he seems to be able to hide his study lifestyle pretty well.
then a few days ago, we heard that it was curly hair, whom scored a 4.85 or 4.87 i think?
not surprising though, cos he's always projected this really intellectual vibes.
HAHAHA, but not till i hear this!
[oh, im using all codenames for these people, cos my studiomates use them to do our usual 'smalltalk' too.]
shadow scored a freaking 4.95!
omg!!!!!!!
ok lah, not that she's the annoying, irritating, nor looks-bimbotic kind, she's actually quite nice and humble and i think she quite deserve the grades.
im just shocked at the really really almost perfect score.
i needa buck up man.

its still holidayholiday mood over at studio.
hanging out at vivo after school for movies and food
when we're supposed to be so hyped up for the davinci exhibition.
ok lah, thats also because there're seriously too many people handling it.
apparently, the dept wants all year one students to do it and hence the many sub sub sub sub sub groups.

two-o-o-eight
byes to twenty o eight, goodbye.
similar to all year-end entries,
this entry will summarised linlin's life in 2008.
i started off the year still partying and enjoying post-A's
then peer pressure acted,
everyone started working,
no one's free,
i need money for the planned trip
and there i was frantically looking for a job.
[sidetrack alittle, during this period of time,
there was also the anxiety of waiting for the release of the results,
and the worser wait for the school's reply.
what bad memories]
then the nightmare started.
i was tortured for slightly more than two months in singtel.
after that it was the even more exhaustive accounts replacement at ssp.
but that was also when i enjoyed working in airport
and having friends come over almost every week for a nice dinner,
especially our favourite breeks! :D
enough of all the work shit we've survived,
it was all ultimately for the taiwan trip!
its not exactly a graduation trip though,
cos of the five i went with, only two were my classmates.
but more like a trip to mark a milestone in our education,
a stop to uniforms blah blah and the list goes on.
taiwan's really fun and i've YET TO BLOG ABOUT IT!
oh well, we'll see lah huh? when i do have time, when i dont feel lazy bout it
and when i do actually suddenly feel like blogging about it. HAHAHA
oh, school kind of started.
i skipped orientations due to both work and the trip.
but i was so so so so so glad that it wasnt that bad.
all thanks to the workshop briefing that was organised before school officially starts.
haha, basically, it's a briefing with your soon=to=be studio mates
to teach us how to use the machines in the workshop.

HAHA, i actually forgot almost all that was taught that day lah, except for some basic sawing and grilling machines.
but i was glad for that day that this group of equally blur girls,
roaming around school for the matric package and that was when we started talking.
HAHA, we even had lunch at bugis that day itself before pop-ing by at artfriend to get some stuffs.
oh yes, artfriend hence become a good friend in some sense
and sometimes you just want to scream some vulgarities at this friend.
so school was alright.
it's alright because of effects of some neutralisation. HAHAHA
the workload's at one end and the company's at another extreme end. :o
if you guys have been talking to me since school started or perhaps even ask me about school,
i probably would have complain loads and loads about how bad it was already.
mountains of history notes and facts to get in.
yet brain empty empty for ideas.
how to acquire a taste like your prof to get better grades.
the machines and models to conquer.
act like u can sketch even if u cant doodle for nuts.
be like a pro-photographer or u get shoot for crits.
the stupid calculations for physics.
and the ultimate,
hearing words like 'hideous and ugly' for FINAL CRIT.
oh, kill me again.
studio mates otherwise were pretty cool.
i werent really talking to them yet at our old venue at the front,
except for a few like hannah, selene and yingxu.
then just slightly before the recess week, we just started to glue real well.
especially after that, when we were shifted and kicked into the real end of the studio,
and stuff like group projects within the studio starting,
more time were spent together in the studio,
lunch always da-pao-ed back in studio,
each group staying to finish the models,
sit in front of the laptop watching ANTM, stupid youtube videos etc.
then changed to tommy's projector when everyone couldnt peep at that tiny screen.
everyone having dinner after a day in school, mostly at vivo or the prata place outside nus,
rejected at pizzahut cos we were really late and they were closing.
and so, the list goes on again. HAHA.
and
results for this one whole semester of new experience has been released.
one previous entry would have tell you guys how bad it was lah. :x
i need to really work hard next semester.
HAHAHA, im so going to take japanese next sem.

currently i really love the holidays,
spending much time with my beloved friends.
oh and mitch's back for her hols too. :D
though the outings are getting slightly later
and mum's starting to nag about me staying over at friends' houses abit too often.
she says its not nice lah. :[
but i really think there's a need to really spend more time together.

there's really a high high possibity of ___
im not refering to occasion outings where most people will try attend,
not exactly a class gathering but more like when there's a bigger event,
or perhaps an outing with a certain purpose that more people are willing to come.
because i know these outings are still very possible.
but im refering more to outings with friends that you meet like almost every week,
now its the hols, so perhaps, once every few days.
going out just because we ARE going to meet.
just aimlessly roam about, SHOP SHOP SHOP, eat! and then hog the table and talk talk,
chill, talk about everything under the sun, gossip, bitch about each other etc.
gosh, i really do love them all, u guys do know lah, that few of you.
though sheau was saying about something like,
we should just reduce the frequency, so it would be less hurtful when they leave. :[
it was like, we were talking about it today,
actually not only today, it was always the topic.
how long will we really last?
2009's going be our 8th year.
and im so not going to continue this now.
haha, i know its an abrupt end lah.
but i really dont want to continue this paragraph anymore.
i probably wont be blogging tomorrow cos of countdown.
so till then lah.
i will try to fill in picture the next entry.

i thought about this for quite some time now.
and i just hope things werent what they seemed and i werent wrong all this while, seriously.
i hope those constant reminders and self-confidence are just facades for your fears.
i hope time'll prove that things are going to work the circle way.

damn the results
its frigging 9:09am super early in the morning.
im awake even though i slept pretty late at 5+ last night.
ALL BECAUSE TODAY IS RESULTS DAY!!
ok, using caps kind of suggest that i sound pretty excited which is totally untrue!
actually i woke up at 7:30am lah, and if you understand how kan-cheong i can get,
you'll understand how torturous the 90 minutes were!
ok, so i didnt fail any mods lah.
that was the most worrying part
and so its kind of like 'phew'
i cant stand the thought of retaking any mods, especially english!
cos the mod's really stupid and the tutor's really rigid.
but during the 90 minutes, i was just thinking,
even if i dont fail, getting shit grades are just equally shit.
i guess most singaporean students are all like this huh?
when you pass the first hurdle, your grades are just always never good enough.
and so, after being relieved that i didnt see fail grades,
i glanced through my results again and thought, "shit."
so, these are my results.
AR1101 Design I B-
AR1121 Spatial - Visual Communication B
AR1221 Ideas and Approaches in Design B-
ES1101 English For Academic Purposes (SDE) B
GEK1016 History & Theory Of Modern Architecture B-
PF2102 Structural Systems B-
its an average of Bs and B-s! and my cap's super low, real low.
yes yes, i know i need an average of at least B- to get to year 4 which is really important with specialisation,
and that's the worrying part!, this is only semester one!
it is supposed to be the most easy-breezy! and ive already hit rock-bottom :[
im not being whiny here or finding excuses for such bad grades,
but im really disappointed with AR1121 and AR1221.
i thought at least i could ace in AR1121 which i was really interested and confident in.
especially after getting stickers and approvals from peers alike from the various workshop,
except for photography workshop lah, which the lecturer commented that i need to "explore more.."
as for AR1221, it just proves that i cant churn out reports lah.
its like, you keep getting nodding heads for your progression and then,
you write an essay and it totally kills your idea.
its worse that throughout the whole semester, there was no indication of how we fare for any of the mods.
for my design mod AR1101, i understand that the 7 hour exercise probably just killed me
with final crit session sounding like "hideous and ugly" and all in all,
dr.wong just dont like me, especially for asking taboo qns like "should i re-do?",
and was always not ready for crits, presenting and stuffs like that.
yet again, im just glad at least i passed eng, hist and physics lah. [ES1101, GEK1016, PF2102]
though the grades are as shit, but im really really glad to never have to repeat them.
gosh, mixed feelings now.
i thought i could go back to sleep as long as i dont see fail grades,
but i guess i still cant.
its like i dont want to be skeptical about the next semester
what im doing now or even..
can i do this?

ive been cooping at home for days
doing some random sewing here and there, watching some videos etc.
boring huh?? HAHAHA, but im so glad i finish the pencil case!
and i still have SIXTEEN tissue holders undone.
KILL ME LAH. its always the case, i do whats NOT important first.
and i need those 16 by perhaps friday?
HAHA, i almost died when the internet crashed on me for few days over the weekends.

a day on..
well, it's 1am now, but its alright lah,
i woke up at 2plus today[yesterday],
i didnt exactly wasted my day, i think,
even though i didnt study the whole day!
gosh! what kind of mindset and priorities are these!
so, what did i do today?
eh, er, hahaha.
ok, i just did some blog-hopping and reading online.
hee.
oh,
caught the good, the bad, the weird yesterday, with hannah and ching.
cos there're werent any other movie that i wanted to watch lah.
city of ember's not showing yet. :[
HAHAHAHA, i know i ought to be shot, dont remind me of the exams!
but it was after a torturous PF paper and a stream of films that we watched to revise for ar1221 [which i didnt really pay attention to most of it too. :\ ]
so it doesnt really harm to add a extra non-archi-related film huh?
the movie's fine la, just not really my type,
with pom-pom-pom almost in between every few minutes,
quite funny at some parts though, and the good's quite shuai. i love his cowboy style!
ching prefered to bad one though, he's hair's real cool.
as for hannah, HAHAHAHA, she's left with the weird and she jokingly chose the hammer one. HAHAHAHAHAHA. so funny la she.
